My journey with cancer included surgeries, chemo, and
radiation. After all that, I needed plenty of follow up with my
oncologist, including quite a bit of blood work. As a survivor, I still
have to get blood tests and mammograms Today was the day for my
mammogram. For some reason, I was particularly nervous. But the good
(I should say great!) news is that I am cancer free. Did you know that
over a woman’s lifetime, there is a one in eight chance she will get
breast cancer. Breast cancer can be a highly curable disease if
detected and
treated early. My cancer was found during a routine, yearly check up and a
mammogram. Talk about a shock!
I wasn't on social media during my journey-but I wish I was. There are thousands of survivors and kind people who connect with you. Unfortunately, there are also too many more suffering this terrible disease.
Thank you to my friends who continually send me love, kind words, and prayers. I truly appreciate you.
Until next time! be kind, be strong, be honest
XO
Catherine
